Benton C Bainbridge: From the Depths (1-25), 2015
Digital Media – HD Video series

Locked in his studio with a broken heart, Benton C Bainbridge recorded a night of analog Video Synth performances straight to tape. The five VHS tapes were first exhibited in late 2015 in “Rise of The S.B.X Super Artists” at LDR Studio Gallery, The Bronx. The live image processing sessions were mined in 2018 and offered as a series of unique hearts: beaten up but still beating.

Digital Media – GIF anim

Shortly before or on March 25, 2016, Benton C Bainbridge made a self portrait as an analog Video Synth performance, captured to digital file. Shots of Bainbridge’s hand were selected by his assistant Pasakorn Nontananandh in 2017; Bainbridge used these clips for media performances including One Step Beyond events at American Museum of Natural History. This clip was time-stretched and digitally image-processed in 2018 and is now offered through decentralized platforms built upon the Ethereum network.
